Date: 2/9/2020 to 2/9/2020
Time: 2pm to 5pm
This class will teach you how to make a basic tote bag, based on the pattern Our Favorite Tote by Ruby Star Society.
You will learn to make this simple, unlined tote, but also make a second version of the bag with lining and pockets, teaching you how to customize your bags. We will also cover different types of interfacing and how that can make a difference in your bags.
Class fee includes pattern and interfacing for second bag.
Students must bring fabric for the two bags- 3/4 yard for first first unlined bag, and this fabric should be slightly heavier than quilting cotton, such as a linen blend, canvas, or denim.
For the second bag- 3/4 yard of fabric for the exterior and handles, 1/2 yard for the lining. Because we will be lining this bag, these fabrics would be fine to be quilting cotton.
Sewing machine that the student is comfortable operating. Aforementioned fabrics. Thread, scissors, rotary cutter, Square ruler or long ruler preferred but not required.
A minimum of 4 students are required for this class to make, so invite a friend!
